Résumé
The article discusses the finds of frame-lamellar and lamellar helmets of the 6th–7th centuriesfrom Kerch (Tomb of 1891) and from Taman (Illichevka). These helmets belong to the Roman /Middle Eastern tradition and do not reflect the influence of steppe nomads, as is often claimed.
