Résumé
This article deals with the work of nurses in a Brazilian hospital, and looks in particular at the interdependence of their various tasks and the way in which they interact with the tasks of other actors involved in carrying out daily care activities. The authors analysed these activities in different specialist departments in a hospital in the town of Porto Alegre, with the aim of demonstrating the underlying complexity behind the complementarity and the autonomy required by nurses as they carry out daily duties, within the context of a team.
