Michel Laffitte, « L’OSE de 1942 à 1944 : Une survie périlleuse sous couvert de l’UGIF », Revue d’Histoire de la Shoah, ID : 10670/1.y6rc63
The Œuvre de secours aux enfants (OSE, or Charity for the Care of children) has survived massive disruptions throughout twentieth century thanks to their leaders alertness and adaptability to new legal structures and systems. The crucial moment of its history began in November 1941, with the politically motivated destruction of the OSE within the UGIF. While the article doesn’t attempt to capture the story of the OSE during the German occupation in its integrity, it does underline the crucial moments of termination and evolution death and survival. It analyses the thoughts and behaviour of men and women who, throughout their personal history, often had to fight the moving shapes of ambient anti-semitic [vérifier] persecution.
