Marie-Agnès Gay, « "Mots de passe" et "composantes de passage": L'art nomade de Theresa Hak Kyung Cha », HAL-SHS : littérature, ID : 10670/1.zuj0sn
Theresa Hak Kyung Cha is a Korean American artist who is best-known for her unclassifiable text Dictée. This essay intends to explore the strategies of minoration (Deleuze) which she adopts in this book but also in her other works, barely studied, notably the hybrid textual and visual productions collected in The Dream of the Audience (2001) and Exilée – Temps Morts – Selected Works (2009). Cha, who experienced exile, produces artistic works in constant displacement which resist hegemonic systems. However, her art betrays a totalizing (based on the archipelago principle by Glissant) and profoundly abstract mode of thought which goes beyond a militant memory process, be it individual or collective
