Ill said seems to be the motto of Beckett's writing - and from the French Trilogy on, this purpose appears to be rendered through syntax. The article aims at questioning the genetic foundations of such an experimental prose. Phenomena of insertions are at stake, inasmuch as they tend to amplify the...

The Vie de Napoléon by Stendhal, is an open and polyphonie work by reason both of its borrowings but especially because of the many interferences of different viewpoints and the variety of handwritings that contribute to the elaboration of the page. Indeed, the bound copy of the first volume ("Life...
By comparing two variant editions of a sociological text (Luc Boltanski and Laurent Thévenot, Les Economies de la grandeur, PUF, 1987, and De la justification, Gallimard, 1991), this article will attempt to show the point of genetic criticism methods for the sociology of texts and the epistemology o...

Martin du Gard longed for an "objective" novel, in which he could erase every trace of himself by a patient polishing through a series of rewritings, tending towards an evident narrative, a transparent style, a performance-fiction without the author's discourse. This discipline becomes flawed when t...
This study of the compositional genesis of Beethoven's Piano Sonata in E Major, op. 109, shows the inadequacy of a concept of the musical text as a closed totality, pointing instead to the evolution of the artwork as a dynamic, tensional configuration. The first movement was originally conceived as...
