This article tempts to remind the position, concerning the complexity of situations of education and the necessity of a multireferential position, developed by the author in 1999. Furthermore, it want to show what kind of modelisation of these situations is possible to leave from the "crossing" of different theoretical tools, perceived as complementary. This article begins by an epistemological point of view and continues by three examples of modelisation of educational situations. Theoretical tools are systematically presented with their specific contributions.
