Entwicklung und Diffusion von Call Center sind Teil von Aktivitaeten im Bereich von Telearbeit und Teledienstleistungen. Call Center, zuerst nur auf Telefon-Kommunikation basiert, ist im Begriff eine Dienstleistung im Cyberspace zu werden. Dieser Beitrag bietet einen Blick auf die Call Center Innovation und ihre Dynamik in verschiedenen Teilen Deutschlands und Europas. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf Standortmustem, Outsourcingaktivitaeten und Neuformierung von Teledienstleistungen.

The development and diffusion of call centers are part of activities of telework and teleservices. Call centers, first based one telephone communication only, are going to become a service in the cyberspace. This paper provides a look to call center innovation and dynamics in the different parts of Germany and Europe. The focus is set on location patterns, outsourcing activities and reengineering of teleservices.
