Fernand Van Steenberghen, « Une enquête sur l'existence de Dieu dans les écrits de S. Thomas », Revue Philosophique de Louvain (documents), ID : 10.3406/phlou.1981.6125
. — In these pages borrowed from the Introduction and especially from the Doctrinal conclusions of a work which has just appeared, the author sums up the investigation which he has made into the writings of St. Thomas. Certain demonstrations do not appear valid to him, but the contribution of St. Thomas to the solution of the problem of the existence of God is very important. One should use this contribution while taking into account the latest results of science and the view of the world which follows. It is accordingly necessary to bypass the letter of St. Thomas and to practise a Thomism broadly open to present-day scientific culture and philosophical criticism. Finally only theism gives a satisfactory solution to the fundamental problem of the nature of the absolute (transi, by J. Dudley).
