Der Verfasser schätzt die Zahl der spanischen Mauren, die 1609-1610 die Pyrenäen überschritten, auf etwas mehr als 50 000. Er untersucht, unter welchen Umständen sie in Agde nach Nordafrika eingeschifft wurden. Er vermerkt einige Versuche dauernder Ansiedlung von Mauren in Frankreich und forscht nach den Ursachen der allgemeinen Feindseligkeit, deren Gegenstand sie waren.

The author states the number of the Moriscos, who crossed over the Pyrenees in 1609-1610, at a little more than 50 000. He describes the conditions of their embarkation at Agde to North Africa. He notices, that a few Moriscos tried to settle down permanently in France, and wonders why they met with such a general hostility.

L'auteur évalue à un peu plus de 50 000 le nombre des Morisques ayant franchi les Pyrénées en 1609-1610. Il étudie les conditions de leur embarquement à Agde pour l'Afrique du Nord. Il note quelques tentatives d'installation durable de Morisques en France, et recherche les causes de l'hostilité générale dont ils furent l'objet.
