A new restitution is proposed for the inscription from Thugga, CIL, VIII, 26610: instead of [princ]ipis et patr[oni / ? pagi], proposed by L. Poinssot, which would imply the existence of the unknown office of princeps pagi, it seems that it would be better to understand: [munic]ipis et patr[oni / pagi].

Une nouvelle restitution est proposée pour l'inscription de Thugga, CIL, VIII, 26610 : au lieu de [princ]ipis et patrtoni / ? pagil, proposé par L. Poinssot, qui impliquerait l'existence de la fonction inconnue de princeps pagi, il paraît préférable de comprendre: [munic]ipis et patr[oni / pagi].
