Adapting the teaching of english to multimedia for specialists in another discipline : its integration in face-to-face teaching and distance learning at Annecy IUT. The account presented here is closely related to some applied research work on the pedagogical use of information technology (I.T.). Giving a multimedia form must be understood as the result of such applied research work. It consists in using I.T. in order to express an already existing pedagogical process. This process is enriched by the exploitation of I.T. potentialities integrated in a coherent way. We have done our best to take into account the parameters of a particular teaching situation. We have analysed the students' needs and then studied the best way to meet them. We present how teaching has been organised so as to overcome the difficulty of creating continuity and coherence while resorting to distance teaching, face-to-face teaching and I.T. for pedagogical purpose.

Le compte-rendu que nous présentons ici s'inscrit dans le cadre de travaux de recherche-application sur l'utilisation pédagogique des Technologies d'Information et de Communication pour l'Education (TICE). Par mise en forme multimédia nous entendons une activité de recherche application consistant à utiliser un support multimédia pour traduire une démarche pédagogique existante. Cette démarche est valorisée par l'exploitation de potentialités des T.I.C. intégrées de manière cohérente. Nous nous sommes efforcés d'intégrer des paramètres propres à un contexte d'enseignement particulier. Nous nous sommes demandés comment répondre aux besoins des apprenants après les avoir analysés. Nous présentons le dispositif mis en place pour essayer de surmonter la difficulté consistant à créer une continuité et une cohérence dans un dispositif associant cours présentiel, enseignement à distance, et enseignement médiatisé.
