Résumé En Fr

The self-diffusion coefficient of sodium in sodium montmorillonite has been determined by a radioactive tracer technique. The experimental conditions used allow the diffusion to be described by the formula : C(X, t) = Cu/2 erf x/2VDt Systems containing 5 to 20 % water (as a ratio to the dry weight) have been studied over the temperature range -14° C to +20° C. The values found for the coefficients vary from 10"7 to 10"10 cm2sec-i. The activation energies of the phenomenon depend on the water content and vary from 4 to 8 Kcal. mole"1.
