Summary. — The Trichostigmus Kaup which are preserved in the Museum of Paris are studied and arranged in a small and fine collection. Five species from the Philippine-Sulawesi Islands are recorded : T. thoreyi Kaup, 1868, from Luzon (neotype designated), T. ursulus (Schaufuss, 1885), from South Sulawesi (lectotype designated), T. mindoroensis, n. sp., from Mindoro, T. whiteheadi, n. sp., from Luzon, and T. semperi, n. sp., from Siargao. The new species are described in detail and illustrated. For the two previously known species, only key characters of external morphology are represented. A key of species is given. The morphological and chorological characteristics of the genus are precised by comparison with its most related taxon, Leptaulax Kaup.
