The evolution in economic conditions, the role of maritime companies, the relationship between ports and territorial planning, and the impact of public policies and jurisdictional framework are evaluated. Le delta du Yangzi offre un bon exemple de transformation des infrastructures portuaires. Le texte présente d'abord une analyse historique des transformations portuaires et une synthèse des fondements géographiques, économiques et politiques afin de comprendre l'évolution des réseaux.
