Résumé Ru En Fr

The reincarnation of the dead in the region of Poles'e. During the burial ritual, the dead are divided between «pure » and «impure ». The author analyses the means of protection against the returning dead and gives a thorough analysis of the mythical figure of the rusalka, which may be considered a focal point reflecting various conflicts in the Poles'e region. Linguistical data facilitates for the discovery of the traces of the representation of the métempsycose, a belief found in many different cultures, according to which the born-new are considered like returning ancestors.
