Résumé
With the development of navigation techniques during the 2nd Millennium the circulation of men, commodities and skills grew throughout the Eastern Mediterranean space. This paper addresses the nature and extension of these exchanges as seen from Cyprus at the end of the Late Bronze Age (14th-11th c. B. C.), and based on recent archaeological finds and new laboratory analyzes, relating to the distribution of Cypriote copper, the diffusion of commercial jars, etc. The island is at the heart of a vast network of exchanges with surrounding lands (Egypt, the Levant, the Hatti, Greece), reaching as far as the Western Mediterranean and connecting with distant continental countries by the means of transit harbours.
