L'évolution du Bronze final IIIB et la transition Bronze-Fer en Languedoc occidental d'après la culture matérielle des nécropoles

Following several complementary attempts to characterize the stages in the evolution between the end of the Bronze Age and the Early Iron Age in the Languedoc, this new approach uses a large (and partly new) base of finds from the world of burial practice (about 500 tombs). After defining, analysing and grouping together the characteristics considered to be discriminating, three main phases are identified to describe the transition of Late Bronze IIIB (IXth and beginning of the VIIIth century B.C.) to the very beginning of the Iron Age sensu stricto (first half of the VIIth century).

Faisant suite à plusieurs tentatives complémentaires de caractérisation des étapes de l'évolution entre la fin de l'Age du bronze et le premier Age du fer en Languedoc, cette nouvelle approche fait appel à une base documentaire importante (et en partie nouvelle) issue du monde funéraire (environ 500 sépultures). Après une définition, une analyse et un regroupement des caractères retenus comme discriminants, trois phases principales sont individualisées pour décrire le passage du Bronze final IIIB (IXe et début du VIIIe s. av. J.-C.) au tout début de l'Age du fer, stricto sensu (première moitié du VIIe s.).
