Résumé En Fr

The excavations that took place over a period of thirty years on the Cloche hill-fort produced large amounts of ceramic material. Almost 40 000 sherds from the southern sector were studied, with their spatial distribution across the urban space (cabins, roads...) being taken into account. This material is placed in its geographical, chronological and cultural contexts, and allows us to consider the nature of social organisation within a village dated to the first century BC. The ceramic material does not permit the characterisation of the social hierarchy on the site. However, it is clear that the houses possessed polyvalent domestic spaces, often including a floor that was used for storage. The graffiti marked on the pottery also informs us as to the inhabitants' customs. The sudden destruction of the site around 50 BC is recognisable, even though pre-first century BC phases of occupation are identifiable through the residual material.
