This study deals with constants and modifications induced by imitation in human linguistic behaviour in front of a simulated speaking machine which is submitted, according to an experimental protocol, to limitations in producing and understanding utterances. Taking into account a corpus of two sets of task-oriented oral exchanges (one of natural dialogue, the other of human-machine dialogue), the authors compare physical characteristics of the exchanges, markers of thematic progression, types of intervention, metadiscursive utterances of the human speaker, roles of human and machine in verbal interaction and more broadly in the dialogue control strategy.

Cette étude s'intéresse aux constantes et aux changements induits par mimétisme dans le comportement langagier du sujet humain face à une machine simulée soumise, selon un protocole expérimental, à des contraintes de production et de compréhension. S'appuyant sur deux corpus d'oral finalisé (l'un de dialogue naturel, l'autre de dialogue Homme-Machine) les auteurs comparent les caractéristiques physiques des communications, le marquage de la progression thématique, les types d'intervention, le métadiscours du locuteur humain, les rôles de l'homme et de la machine dans l'interaction et plus généralement les stratégies de contrôle du dialogue.
