L'analyse floristique du plateau du Tademait - marche entre le monde saharien et le monde méditerranéen - conduit à analyser le passage entre ces deux mondes : 11 tableaux , Z cartes précisent les modalités de cette transition. Dans le thermoméditerranéen (m > +3°C) à l'Aervo-Fagonion (électif des regs ) et à l'Acacio-Panicion (caractéristique des oueds du Sahara) succèdent respectivement dans cette partie septentrionale, l'Anvilleo-Zillion macropterae et l'Antirrhino-Pituranthion scopariae. La bordure saharienne, qui s’individualise assez bien avec l'étage bioclimatique mésoméditerranéen (m < +3 °C) est caractérisée par une steppe buissonneuse dense à Arthrophytum scoparium (Arthrophytion scopariae). L'absence du fait anthropique amène à se demander si les ensembles observés, étant en état d’équilibre climacique, ne sont pas l’équivalent des alliances sigmatistes. Si des associations existent, ne reflètent-elles pas, pour l'essentiel, des faits chorologiques ?
