Résumé En Fr

Genesis of the body axis : importance of biomechanical aspects and postural points of support A harmonious construction of the body axis requires the action of tightly coordinated muscular chains, allowing righting, mobility, and balance. It also needs the integration of sensory systems via a constant emotional dialogue with the human milieu. The body axis is constructed through successive steps, or critical periods, characterized by drastic modifications of points of support, new coordinations, and behaviors. These steps constitute sensitive periods in infant's motor development.
