French People's Holidays. Using as principal source the scheme "Enquêtes Permanentes sur les conditions de Vie" (EPCV) set up by Insee in 1996, this documentation shows the main characteristics of the holidays of the French. First are analysed the evolution as well as the social and geographical variations of the departure rates in summer and in winter. Another facet highlights the geographical concentration of the holidays destinations in France and abroad.

Utilisant comme source principale le dispositif "Enquêtes Permanentes sur les conditions de Vie" (EPCV) mis en place par l'lnsee en 1996, ce dossier présente les grandes caractéristiques des vacances des Français. Dans un premier temps sont analysées l'évolution ainsi que les variations sociales et géographiques des taux de départ en été et en hiver. Un autre volet met en évidence la concentration géographique des destinations de vacances en France et à l'étranger.
