Armelle Gorgeu und René Mathieu, Berufsbefähigungszeugnis „Nutzung von Industrieanlagen" : Zweite Chance für Menschen ohne Abschluss. Das Berufsbefähigungszeugnis „Nutzung von Industrieanlagen" wurde 1994 auf Anfrage des Unternehmens Renault eingefuhrt, um besser auf die notwendige Polyvalenz der Produktionsarbeiter besonders am Montageband - unabhängig vom Wirtschaftssektor - eingehen zu können. Es soil schulisch schwachen Jugendlichen und Arbeitssuchenden einen Abschluss ermöglichen. Die Vorbereitung für diesen Abschluss mit schulischem Status erfolgt ohne vorherige Selektion der Teilnehmer in Form einer Lehre oder als Weiterbildungsmaßnahme, die insbesondere von Zeitarbeitskräften mit „Qualifizierungsvertragen" wahrgenommen wird. Anhand der Untersuchung in den Regionen Nord-Pas-de-Calais und Franche-Comté zeigt sich, dass die Inhaber die ses Berufsbefähigungszeugnisses hauptsächlich als Zeitarbeitskräfte eingestellt werden ; selbst die Automobilindustrie stellt nur wenige von ihnen mit unbefristetem Arbeitsvertrag ein. Dennoch ist dieser Abschluss eine Chance zur beruflichen Eingliederung, denn inzwischen ist ein Abschluss Grundvoraussetzung für den Zugang selbst zu unsicheren Arbeitsverhältnissen geworden.
Armelle Gorgeu and René Mathieu, The CAP Diploma in the Use of Industrial Equipment : a second chance for those with no qualifications ? The "Certificat d'Aptitude Professionnelle" (CAP) Diploma in the Use of Industrial Equipment was created in France in 1994 at the request of the Renault company. The need had arisen for more all-round production plant workers, especially at assembly lines of all kinds. This course is intended to enable young people having difficulty at school and those in unemployment to obtain a diploma. The pupils with the status of secondary school pupils do not have to pass any prior selection process. Other people undergo apprenticeship training and continuing training mostly in the framework of short-term qualifying contracts. The results of this survey carried out in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais and Franche-Comté regions show that the holders of this CAP are mostly employed as interim workers, and that the motor industry engages very few of them on long-term contracts. This diploma nevertheless improves young people's chances of professional integration, since having a diploma has become a prerequisite for access to employment, however precarious that employment may be.

Le Cap « exploitation d'installations industrielles » a été créé en 1994, à la demande de Renault, pour répondre aux besoins de polyvalence des agents de production, en particulier sur ligne de montage, quel que soit le secteur. Il devait permettre à des jeunes en difficultés scolaires et à des demandeurs d'emploi d'acquérir un diplôme. Il est préparé sous statut scolaire, sans sélection préalable des élèves, en apprentissage, et en formation continue, notamment par des intérimaires en contrats de qualification. D'après cette enquête dans le Nord-Pas-de-Calais et en Franche-Comté, les titulaires de ce CAP sont surtout employés en intérim, et l'industrie automobile en embauche peu sous contrat à durée indéterminée. Ce CAP constitue néanmoins une chance d'insertion, car posséder un diplôme devient une condition d'accès à l'emploi, même précaire.
