Body-Modelling : Weibliche Strategie zur beruflichen Eingliederung. Obwohl ein Hochschulabschluss durchaus als Trumpf bei der Suche nach einer passenden Anstellung gilt, so reicht er heutzutage nicht mehr als alleinige Voraussetzung aus. Eine mit Studierenden der Universität Valenciennes durchgeführte Untersuchung ergab, dass die Grenzen der Erstausbildung immer öfter hinterfragt werden. Die Folge davon ist, dass für die Umsetzung der geplanten Berufslaufbahn innovative Strategien entwickelt werden, um somit den Ansprüchen des Arbeitsmarktes besser entspre- chen zu können. So erhoffen sich junge Frauen, ihr „Body-Kapital" durch körperliches Training zu vergrößern und dadurch ihre Einstellungs- Chancen zu erhöhen. Body-Modelling stellt somit eine vorausschauende Strategie da, nämlich den Versuch, einen „Mehrwert" für die Eingliederung in den Arbeitsmarkt als Ergänzung zum vorhandenen schulischen Bildungskapital auf- und auszubauen.. Improving one's physical appearance : a female transition-to-work strategy. Holding a higher educational diploma is certainly an advantage for young women in search of employment. However, this alone does not seem to suffice. A survey carried out on female students at the University of Valenciennes has shown that the respondents feel their initial training has not provided them with everything they need. Their professional projects involve the use of some innovative complementary strategies designed in response to the demands of the labour market. These young women are investing in improving their physical appearance as a means of increasing their chances of gaining a place on the labour market. Improving their physical appearance therefore constitutes an anticipatory strategy, an attempt to gain added value to complete the educational capital required to give them access to the labour market. Posséder un diplôme de l'enseignement supérieur constitue un atout certain pour les jeunes femmes en quête d'emploi. Toutefois, ce n'est plus une condition suffisante. Une enquête menée auprès d'étudiantes de l'université de Valenciennes montre qu'elles s'interrogent sur les limites de leur formation initiale. La formulation de leur projet professionnel comporte des stratégies « complémentaires » innovantes visant à mieux répondre aux exigences du marché du travail. Ainsi, ces jeunes femmes recherchent, dans des pratiques physiques visant l'amélioration d'un capital corporel, de meilleures chances d'insertion professionnelle. Ce travail du corps constituerait alors une stratégie anticipatrice, la recherche d'une plus-value complétant le capital scolaire lors de l'accès au marché du travail.
