. Due to the extending surface of excavations at Lattara, new facts on the Roman period have been established, lacking before in this part of the town because the recent levels were levelled by agricultural works. These informations first concern the evolution in urbanism intra muros which follows deep transformations from the Augustan period. For the Early Empire, evidence of crafts is shown: a kiln with a mass production of Gaulish amphorae, a forge and fish sauce production. Our knowledge of Gallo-Roman artefacts and of the urban landscape evolution is renewed by evidence provided by the filling of eleven pits lately excavated, which gets clear, from this original aspect, the future of the town during the last centuries of its occupation.
