The migrations of populations as factors and indicators of regional spaces organization. Migrations are one of the components of the complex of interrelations which characterize the regional systems. Within the example of Alsace, the author distinguishes the migrations of exchange, particulary the matrimonial migrations, from the polarized migrations within a region organized around an urban hierarchized network in conformity with the christaller model. From the comparative analysis of the two patterns of migrations the author observes the process of regional integration.

Les migrations constituent une des composantes du complexe d' interrelations qui définit les systèmes régionaux. Dans l'exemple alsacien, l'auteur distingue les migrations d'échanges, notamment les migrations matrimoniales, des migrations polarisées ayant pour cadre la région ordonnée autour d'un réseau urbain hiérarchisé selon le schéma christallérien. L'analyse comparative des deux types de migrations permet de suivre le processus d'intégration régionale.
