« Künstlerische Illustration : von Radierung zu Lithographie, zwei Pariser Beispiele », von Christelle Inizan Es gibt in Paris zwei in der Welt des künstlerischen Druckes renommierte Werkstatten : Das Kupferdruck- Atelier der Ermitage Saint-Jacques-Leblanc, 1793 nicht weit von der heutigen Adresse gegründet und das lithographische Atelier Mourlot ; beide befinden sich mitten auf Grundstücken, hinter bürgerlichen Wohnhäusern versteckt. Das eine Grundstück unterteilt sich in Garten und einer Allée, das andere in zwei Höfe hintereinander. Das erste zeigt mehrere hétérogène Bauten aus Fachwerk und verputztem Mortel, das zweite eine mehr industrielle Architektur, wo Ziegelsteine dominieren. Die verschiedenen Etappen der Drucklegung lassen sich deutlich am Raum erkennen, die Ausstattung der Werkstatt bleibt unverändert, insbesondere die Druckpressen, welche die verschiedenen Umzüge und die technischen Fortschritte durchgehalten haben. So haben diese heute leider bedrohten historischen Druckereien viel Gemeinsames.

"Art illustration : from line-engraving to lithography", by Christelle Inizan Two famous companies in the world of art printers, the Ermitage Saint-Jacques Leblanc line-engraving workshops, founded in 1793, once in the neighbourhood of the current site, and the Mourlot lithographic printing works, are nestled in the heart of the area and hidden behind bourgeois apartment buildings. One is divided into gardens and paths, the other into a row of two courtyards. The first proposal is a heterogeneous grouping of half-timber buildings with grouted filler material, while the second is a more industrial-typed architecture, mostly of brick. The different steps of the printing process being clearly expressed on the external, the preservation of the printing equipment — specially of the presses which have outlast the different removals as well as the technical evolutions -, also are things these two currently threatened historic printing works have in common.

L'une se divise en jardins et allée, l'autre, en deux cours successives. La première propose un ensemble hétérogène de bâtiments à pans de bois à hourdis enduit, la seconde, une architecture plus industrielle où prédomine la brique. La lisibilité spatiale des différentes étapes de l'impression, la permanence du matériel et, plus spécialement, des presses qui ont survécu aux différents déménagements et aux évolutions techniques, constituent d'autres points communs de ces imprimeries historiques aujourd'hui menacées.
