Mathematics and Stories If stories are more than incidental to mathematics, and so science, then these discourses are as fictional, or not, as others. Seeing how this model of mathematics developed can found a history of mathematics, and of science, that is not another excursion into their relativity, but admits that truth itself has degrees- which the old rhetoric knew.
