Résumé En

Aristotle, Cicero and Genesis: an Emblematic Reading of the "Quinta Natura" in the XVIth Century Achille Bocchi is the author of the 1555 "Symbolicae Quaestiones" in the emblematic manner; his Symbolon 140, whose iconography and Cicero-derived text are characteristically complex, is an excellent document concerning Renaissance readings of Aristotle and their role in a philological dispute pertaining to the origins of the world.
