Résumé En

Drug jars of Alcora manufacture dating from about 1745. An account is given of a group of tin-glazed earthenware pharmacy jars made at Alcora in Eastern Spain in about 1745. The jars are either of albarello form or of baluster form, and are decorated in blue monochrome. The ornamentation betrays the influence of wares made at the pottery at Moustiers, where the principal decorators at the Alcora factory, Joseph Olerys and Edouard Roux, had received their training. The inscriptions on 36 jars in various museums and private collections are listed and interpreted.
