In Esvres-sur-Indre sind fünf an das Ende der Eisenzeit datierte Bestattungsensembles bekannt, einige bestehen in der frühen Kaiserzeit weiter. Verschiedene Hypothesen der Bestattungstopographie wurden vorgeschlagen ; die neueste legt einen Grabbereich mit mehreren kleinen familiären oder sozialen Ensembles nahe. Der Siedlungsbereich, zu dem diese Nekropolen gehören, wurde nicht identifiziert, doch es könnte sich um eine Siedlung handeln, aus der sich der moderne Ort herausgebildet hat.

Five burial groups of the late Iron Age, some of which were still in use up until the Early Roman Empire, are known at Esvres-sur-Indre. Different hypothesis for the burial organisation have been proposed. The most recent one suggests a burial area composed of a few small family or social groups. The dwelling zone associated with this necropolis, although it has not been identified, could be an agglomeration that gave rise to the current village.

Cinq ensembles funéraires de la fin de l’âge du Fer, dont une partie perdure durant le Haut Empire, sont connus à Esvres-sur-Indre. Différentes hypothèses de topographie funéraire ont été proposées ; la plus récente suggère une zone funéraire composée de plusieurs petits ensembles familiaux ou sociaux. L’habitat auquel ces nécropoles se rapporte n’est pas identifié mais il pourrait s’agir d’une agglomération, à l’origine du bourg actuel.
