Bei der Präventivgrabung der Lagerstätte Warluis I im Tal des Thérain (Departement Oise) konnte eine Konzentration von Siedlungsspuren des in die zweite Hälfte des 8. Jahrtausends v. u. Z. datierten Beuronien mit Segmenten isoliert werden. Die prähistorischen Siedler haben sich auf einem trockenen bewaldeten Boden in der Nähe eines Wasserlaufes niedergelassen. Sie haben vor Ort in großen Mengen kieselhaltige Rohstoffe verarbeitet, Haselnüsse gesammelt und auf Wildschweine, wahrscheine eine Mutterfamilie (Bache mit ihren Frischlingen), ausgerichtete Jagd betrieben. Die geringe Anzahl von Tierknochen, das Fehlen bestimmter Skelettteile, die wenigen Werkzeugformen, sowie die kurze Zeit der Nutzung der Geräte weisen auf eine kurze Aufenthaltsdauer.

The preventive excavation of the site of Warluis I, in the valley of the Thérain (Oise) brought to light a concentration of Beuronian remains dating from the second half of the 8th millennium B. C. The Prehistoric people settled on dry wooded land next to a stream. They worked the plentiful siliceous raw material on the spot, collected hazelnuts and practised boar-hunting, probably a horde (a wild sow and her young). The small number of animals, the absence of certain parts of the skeletons, the typological poverty of the tools and their short period of use, all indicate a short stay.

La fouille préventive du gisement de Warluis I, dans la vallée du Thérain (Oise), a permis d’isoler une concentration de vestiges du Beuronien à segments datés de la deuxième moitié du huitième millénaire avant notre ère. Les Préhistoriques se sont installés sur un sol sec boisé à proximité d’un cours d’eau. Ils ont exploité sur place une matière première siliceuse abondante, ont collecté des noisettes et ont pratiqué une prédation ciblée sur le sanglier, probablement une compagnie (laie et ses petits). Le faible nombre d’animaux, l’absence de certaines parties squelettiques, la pauvreté typologique de l’outillage ainsi que sa courte durée d’utilisation, plaident en faveur d’un séjour de durée limitée.
