Résumé En Fr

In The Wild Ass'Skin Balzac seems to spoil part of the novel's suspense by often times revealing events before they occur. The prophetic aspect of the novel undermines the relationship between Desire and Knowledge, particularly in respect to reading. In the form of wish of prediction, anticipation is the equivalent of the « systematic dissipation » described by Rastignac, applied to the way a story is being told. Spending its time making a present of the future through anticipation, The Wild Ass'Skin is a text that exhausts itself sparing no expense in the art of storytelling.
