1812 г. : «Петербургу быть пусту » ? Статья посвящена тому, как отразились события войны 1812 г. в Петербурге, в том числе мерам Комитета министров Импе-рии по эвакуации различных ведомств, включая министерства и среди них Минис-терство народного просвещения и под-ведомственные ему заведения – Импера-торская Публичная библиотека, Академия наук (Кунсткамера) и Академия худо-жеств, а также отдельных институтов и Царскосельского лицея. В связи с этим по материалам полицейского сыска в статье дается представление о ситуации в сто-лице, о настроениях в публичных местах, о многочисленных слухах и полицейских мерах по наблюдению за общественными настроениями.

1812 : «Let Petersburg be empty » ? The article is devoted to the echoes of the Patriotic War of 1812 in St Petersburg, and particularly to the decisions of the Committee of Ministers concerning the evacuation of public services, of all ministers, and particularly of the Ministry of Education. Institutions which belonged to this ministry have also been evacuated : the Imperial Public Library, the Academy of Sciences (Kunstkamera), the Academy of Arts and some other independent institutes such as the Lycée at Tsarskoe Selo. Relying on Police documents, the article also draws a picture of the situation in the Russian capital : the atmosphere in public places, the various rumors and the measures taken by the Police to watch closely the mood of the population.
