Résumé En

On the basis of personal research and inspired by two important articles of Father Dominique Dubarle (of which one is impublished) , the author, after offering certain semantic précisions to the terms «fondations», «truth», and «real», proposes some epistemological principles which he esteems to be of capital importance. They concern (1) the inclusion of the concrète faith life or non-faith life in the concrete research of the philosopher ; (2) thefact that, in the domain of science in process, the scientist cannot not be under the influence — whether médiate or immédiate, unconscious or conscious — of his total human existence — be it based on philosophy or on faith ; (3) the absolute necessity of a philosophy at work in the research and organization of every theology worthy of the name — such a philosophy should be made as explicit as possible, with the awareness which this requires of the theologian. In any event, it will be the task of the historian of theology to bring into light the philosophy (or ideology) at work in the particular théologies.
