Роман Константина Вагинова Козлиная песнь был опубликован отдельным изданием в 1928 году. Однако в 1929 писатель готовил к печати его новую редакцию, которая не была опубликована при его жизни, но была использована при подготовке окончательной редакции романа в недавних его переизданиях. В статье подробно описаны и проанализированы внесенные автором изменения. Высказывается предположение о том, что новое издание романа было необходимо автору не только по материальным причинам. В сгущающейся социально-политической атмосфере оно давало ему возможность осуществить правку романа, опустив или переписав наиболее политически неблагонадежные и эстетически рискованные пассажи. Именно с этим автор статьи связывает то, что некоторые места первой редакции не просто зачеркнуты, а заклеены. Кроме того, в cтатье ставятся под сомнение некоторые текстологические решения недавних публикаторов романа. Вопросе об окончательном тексте романа требует серьезной дискуссии, вплоть до решения вопроса, в каком именно виде следует печатать финал этого произведения.

L'édition séparée du roman de Konstantin Vaginov Le chant du bouc sortit en 1928. En 1929 l’écrivain était en train d’en préparer une nouvelle rédaction qui ne fut pas publiée de son vivant, mais utilisée lors de l’élaboration de la rédaction définitive du roman dans ses dernières rééditions. L’article décrit et analyse en détails les modifications apportées par l’auteur. L’auteur émet l’hypothèse selon laquelle les raisons alimentaires n’expliquent pas toutes les motivations de Vaginov. Dans une atmosphère sociale et politique de plus en plus tendue, cette réédition lui offrait la possibilité de corriger son roman : d’éliminer ou de réécrire les passages les plus dangereux du point de vue politique et esthétique. Cela explique le fait que certains passages de la première rédaction du roman ne sont pas seulement raturés, mais collés. De plus, l’article met en doute certains choix des éditeurs du roman. Une version définitive du roman continue à soulever les interrogations dignes d’un débat sérieux, en particulier celles qui concernent la fin du roman.

Konstantin Vaginov’s novel The Goat song was published as a separate book released in 1928. However, in 1929, the writer was preparing to print its second edition, which was taken into account in the most recent publications of the novel. This article describes and analyzes in detail the changes made by the author. It is suggested that the new edition of the novel was necessary for the author not only for material reasons. In a darkening social and political atmosphere, the new edition enabled him to carry out revisions of the novel by omitting or rewriting the most politically unreliable and aesthetically risky passages. It is with this that the author of the article connects the fact that some parts of the first edition are not just crossed out but glued. This calls into question some of the textual decisions of recent publishers of the novel. There are still serious discussion points about the question of the final text of the novel, even regarding the exact form in which the final print of this work should look like.
