Elisa Bricco, « Juliette Mézenc : une écriture poreuse en écosystème numérique », ELFe XX-XXI, ID : 10.4000/11zm5
Juliette Mézenc is an author on the edge of the French contemporary literary field, where she combines print and digital publishing, using non-traditional literary practices to disseminate her texts. She operates in a digital ecosystem, combining online writing and traditional publishing with small editors. She uses a variety of digital media, such as blogs and literary video games, and develops projects that interweave web and print, such as Sujets sensibles and Poreuse. Mézenc’s work also includes writing workshops, performances and video poems. She has created transmedia works such as Le journal du Brise-lames, a hybrid project combining text, sound and images in a 3D universe. Her literary approach, influenced by the possibilities offered by digital technology, favours fragmentary and porous writing that is imbued with physical and human reality. For example, the main character in Des espèces de dissolution explores the mountain landscape, the text blending geographical reality and dreamlike experiences, while Poreuse incorporates stories of migrants. Mézenc is thus developing an innovative literary exploration that goes beyond the traditional limits of publication, fully integrating digital media to create a complex, interconnected network of texts and experiences.
