UMAM Documentation and Research est une association créée en 2004 par Lokman Slim et Monika Borgmann à Beyrouth. Elle conserve et met à disposition de tous les publics des documents d’archives dans l’objectif de documenter l’histoire sociale et culturelle du Liban de 1840 à nos jours. Ses collections rassemblent des matériaux multiples – livres, journaux, affiches, magazines, documents officiels, artefacts – dont de nombreux enregistrements sonores issus d’entretiens, des émissions radiophoniques, des films et des rushes, qu’ils ont produits eux-mêmes ou qu’ils ont collectés. Lokman Slim a été assassiné le 3 février 2021, le crime est jusqu’ici resté impuni. L'entretien est archivé à la phonothèque de la MMSH (n° 5572).

UMAM Documentation and Research was created in 2004 by Lokman Slim and Monika Borgman located in Beirut. The Association preserves, and provides access to all archival documents with the aim of documenting the social and cultural history of Lebanon from 1840 to the present day. Its collections bring together several materials—books, newspapers, posters, magazines, official documents, artefacts—including numerous sound recordings from interviews, radio broadcasts, films and rushes, which they produced themselves or which they collected. Lokman Slim was murdered on 3 February 2021, the crime still going unpunished. The interview is archived at the MMSH sound archives center (no. 5572).
