La professeure Hakima Himmich retrace ici l’histoire de l’Association de lutte contre le sida (ALCS) qu’elle a créée au Maroc en 1988. L’ALCS a d’abord initié des programmes d’action ciblant les populations les plus exposées au VIH, elle a lutté contre la stigmatisation et la discrimination des personnes vivant avec le VIH, puis elle s’est lancée dans le combat pour l’accès aux traitements antirétroviraux. Ses liens avec l’association AIDES en France l’ont conduite à cofonder Coalition Plus, une union internationale d’organisations communautaires de lutte contre le sida. L’auteure s’inquiète pour finir de l’éventuel arrêt des financements du Fonds mondial, qui mettrait fin aux programmes de l’ALCS en direction des groupes les plus exposés au VIH.

Professor Hakima Himmich traces the history of the Association de lutte contre le sida (ALCS), which she founded in Morocco in 1988. The organization first initiated programs targeting the populations most exposed to HIV, fought against the stigmatization and discrimination of people living with HIV, and then launched the fight for access to antiretroviral treatment. Its links with AIDES in France led her to co-found Coalition Plus, an international union of community-based AIDS organizations. Finally, the author shares her concern about the possible termination of funding from the Global Fund, which would put an end to the organization’s programs for groups most at risk of HIV.

تروي الأستاذة حكيمة حميش هنا تاريخ جمعية محاربة السيدا (ALCS) التي أسستها في المغرب سنة 1988. في البداية بادرت الجمعية ببرامج عمل تستهدف الفئات السكانية الأكثر عرضة للإصابة بداء نقص المناعة البشرية المكتسبة، وكافحت الوصمَ والتمييز الممارسيْن على الأشخاص المصابين به، ثم انطلقت لتخوض غمار النضال من أجل تمكينهم من مضادات الفيروسات القهقريّة. وقد قادتها روابطها بجمعية AIDES "إيد" (مساعدات) في فرنسا إلى المشاركة في تأسيس ائتلاف "كواليسيون بلوس" Coalition Plus، وهو اتحاد عالمي يضم منظمات مجتمعية لمكافحة السيدا. وتعرب الكاتبة عن قلقها من احتمال توقف تمويلات الصندوق العالمي، الذي قد يؤدي إلى انقضاء برامج الجمعية الموجهة إلى المجموعات الأكثر عرضة للإصابة بفيروس نقص المناعة البشرية المكتسبة.
