Du postmodernisme au post-humanisme : présent et futur du concept d’hybridité

Cet article analyse l’évolution de la notion d’hybridité dans la littérature, du postmodernisme au post-humanisme. Il tend à démontrer, tout d’abord, que cette notion, plus que tout autre outil conceptuel, permet d’aborder toutes les caractéristiques communes au corpus postmoderniste à travers cinq axes (hybridité générique, hybridité dialogique, hybridité spatio-temporelle, hybridité des personnages, et hybridité identitaire). L’article se penche ensuite sur la figure du cyborg et sur sa présence dans la littérature latino-américaine contemporaine. Il ressort de l’analyse que le concept d’hybridité, s’il reste toujours opérationnel, peut néanmoins paraître quelque peu étroit à l’heure d’expliquer les nouveaux phénomènes post-humanistes.

This paper analyses the evolution of the concept of hybridity in Latin American literature from the postmodernist aesthetics to post-humanist. First, it demonstrates that this notion, more than any other conceptual tool, can cover all of the trends common to postmodernist corpus and details five axes (generic hybridity, dialogical hybridity, hybridity of time and space, hybridity of the characters, and identitarian hybridity). Then, it looks at the figure of the cyborg and its presence in contemporary Latin American literature. If now the concept of hybridity remains operative to analyse post-humanist works, it may also seems somewhat narrow to explain these new post-humanist phenomena.
