Abstract
Since the beginning of the 20th century, hundreds of books and more than 200,000 documents written between the 5th century BCE and the 4th century CE were brought to light by explorers and archaeologists. Whatever they excavated from tombs or from building remains, these heretofore unseen artefacts have considerably renewed historical research on ancient China.
