Fernando Pessoa, a par de diatribes ao regímen republicano implantado em Portugal a 5 de Outubro de 1910, enuncia como e porquê o verdadeiro regímen político português: «república nova», promoverá liberdade e humanismo autênticos sob a organização de um escol de eleitos indispensáveis ao «Império de Cultura» capaz de colocar Portugal de novo como grande potência europeia constituindo uma «Confederação Ibérica», assim cultive a virtude da nação germânica.

Fernando Pessoa didn’t avoid his harsh criticisms against the republican regime and the republican party of Portugal after the fall of the Portuguese monarchy on the 5th of October 1910. He proposes a new political regime: «new republic» which challenge was to promote liberty and humanism under the organization of an essential and ruling elite which scope was to place Portugal again among the top European nations, forming with Spain an «Iberian Confederation», and emulate capital virtues of the German nation as well as giving birth to the so called «Empire of Culture».
