Cet article pose la question du lien entre la pratique et la recherche dans un champ professionnel. L'étude porte sur des situations de communication médiatisée sur une liste de discussion spécialisée de professeurs documentalistes. L'approche choisie prend en compte le degré d'identification du chercheur à l'endogroupe avec ses limites et ses avantages. La familiarité avec le terrain, construite au fil de l'exercice professionnel apporte des informations, des repères conséquents et contribue à faire mûrir un questionnement permettant de conduire une recherche. Le regard renouvelé par l'approche scientifique, sur un terrain familier fait émerger de nouveaux indices. Une certaine forme de familiarité s'avère nécessaire pour rapprocher sans les confondre, le monde du chercheur et du praticien. L'article tente de formaliser le réglage de cette articulation entre connivence et distance.

This article deals with the issue of the link between practice and research in a given professional field. The study bears on situations of mediatized communication on a specialized list of discussion for information research professors. The chosen approach takes into account the degree of identification of the researcher to the endogroup with its limits and advantages. The familiarity with the field, gathered along professional practice, brings consistent information and indicators, and contributes to develop a questioning allowing to carry out a research. The insight on a familiar field, renewed by scientific approach, gives birth to new indications. A certain form of familiarity proves to be necessary to bring closer the universes of the researcher and of the practicioner without merging them. The article aims at formalizing the adjustment of this articulation between connivance and distance.
