Currently in Mongolia, it seems as though history is repeating itself to some extent. Just as in the early 20th century, Mongolians are again determining their socio-economic and political trajectories in re-building the nation-state. Dissimilar to the previous century’s bloody political conflict that built a socialist nation-state based on Marxism-Leninism, current 21st century Mongolians are wrangling about the potential benefits of neoliberal reforms of building a capitalist nation state. ...
