Experimenting with new "old" technology is fascinating. Frame, plan value, editing or distribution, are just some of the topics that must be revisited with 360 ° cinema. The camera (or the point of view of the spectator) is omnipresent and all that it sees is a potential of the story or stories to understand. Where should we look to don’t lose the story line? Do we have to only see what they want to show us? Can we create our own audiovisual experience by wandering the digital look? The numerous conceptual questions this medium seems to ask, have also encourage research around the diffusion and interactivity of the device. Would a hemispherical screen be better suited to diffusion than a wall? How should the control of the point of view be proposed to the public? Somewhere it seemed obvious that such an image had to be diffused and manipulated in an analog way. It became important to experiment. Firstly, a vertically positioned dome could give more volume to the projection. Perhaps it could mark the border between reality and image, but respecting 360° image nature. A dome will also be a play with the concave and the convex, projection and rear-projection, horizontal and vertical. Then, the control interface, it was important to replace the pointing of the mouse while keeping its simplicity. What can we tell with such device? How to properly use the possibilities it offers?
