This issue presents research concerning migrations within the sector of social work in France. An analysis of the social actors- their training, their professional trajectory, their values- shows a growing ethnicisation of profiles potentially leading to a deprofessionalisation of careers. As receivers, migrants or populations of foreign origin denounce descrimination and stigmatising representations of themselves. Social intervention seems more and more torn in between ethics and rights.
