Un frammento di tabula frumentaria e la porticus Minucia

Un frammento di tavola bronzea, rinvenuto negli scavi di D. Manacorda al Tempio di Via delle Botteghe Oscure, in uno strato databile nella prima metà del I secolo d.C., conserva poche lettere di un testo, ricostruibile come segue: [- - -IN] MVRO [- - -] / [- - - QVI FRVMEN]T(O) PVBL(ICO) I[NCISI SVNT - - -]. Si tratta chiaramente di quanto resta di una lista ufficiale di aventi diritto alle distribuzioni di frumentum publicum, databile al periodo augusteo. Dal momento che tali liste erano conservate nel Tempio delle Ninfe, ne risulta confermata la sua identificazione con il Tempio di Via delle Botteghe Oscure, e della porticus Minucia frumentaria con il portico al cui interno quest’ultimo è incluso.

A fragment of a bronze tablet, discovered during D. Manacorda’s excavations of the temple of Via delle Botteghe Oscure in a context of the first half of the first century AD, conserves a few letters of a text which can be reconstructed as follows: [---IN] MVRO [- - -] / [- - -QVI FRVMEN]T(O) PVBL(ICO) I[NCISI SVNT - - -]. The fragment is clearly what remains of an official list of the recipients of state grain, dating to the Augustan period. Such lists were conserved in the Temple of the Nymphs, confirming the identification of this temple with that of Via delle Botteghe Oscure and of the porticus Minucia frumentaria with the portico enclosing the temple itself.
