Improving the prevention and treatment of antisocial behavior and violence among people with severe mental disorders is a complex task. Multiple interventions at different levels must be established. Some dimensions are to be encouraged to improve the success of interventions and support the recovery process of people with serious mental illness. The purpose of this paper is to show that two dimensions are to be prioritized: 1 - reducing the stigma and discrimination and 2 - promoting the integration of services of mental health, substance use disorder and justice for people suffering from severe mental illness in order to ensure consistency and continuity of care. These priority components will be discussed by evaluating existing models and their relevance to the implementation of targeted and effective action.
