Denis Mellier, « La rencontre entre équipes et familles,…individualisme et déstabilisation des alliances », Connexions, ID : 10670/1.236cry
The encounter between teams and families depends on the evolution of these two types of institution, on their entanglement and the place thus given to the institutional alliances that define their space but which, at the present time, are falling apart. (1) Their evolution since the Second World War is convergent: deinstitutionalisation is accompanied by the generalisation of family individualism. The family, which has seen its structure destabilised and its forms changed, giving a greater role to professionals, is positioning itself to intervene more directly in the sphere of professionality. (2) The entangled relations between professionals and families, which has been present since the beginning of the institution, finds expression in different types of alliances (more structuring, defensive or toxic) which are current being destabilised. (3) The organisation of alliances based on a ternary fantasy scenario allows for the possibility of psychic work based on thirdness. New alliances thus need to be formed at different levels in order to re-establish through the group links between teams and families.
