Partie de l’homme et de sa poièsis pour en nier les limites et se représenter un produire supérieur, la création digne du Dieu créateur du ciel et de la terre, la philosophie occidentale a fini par l’appliquer à l’homme-artiste : partie d’une conception trop anthropomorphique de la production divine, elle a fini par promouvoir une conception théomorphique de la création humaine. On érige en méthode un tel théomorphisme afin de voir d’abord comment les diverses conceptions de la création divine éclairent effectivement la création humaine. On explore ensuite la relation de l’œuvre au principe créateur : qu’est et que devient l’œuvre une fois qu’elle est créée ? Et que peut nous apprendre sur la création même le destin du créé ?

Drawing on man and his poièsis whilst negating its limits so as to conceive a superior mode of production, a creation worthy of a God who has created heaven and earth, Western philosophy ended up applying such a concept of creation to the human artist: based on an overly anthropomorphic conception of divine production, it ended up promoting a theomorphic conception of human creation. Such a theomorphism can be considered primarily as a method, so as to see whether the different conceptions of divine creation can shed light on human creation. Exploring the relation existing between what is created and its creative principle, we ask what is and what becomes of the work of art when it is created? And what can we learn on creation from the fate of the created thing?
